Art in Endoscopy: “A Study in Blue”

This image from a colon dyed with methylene blue could almost be a detail from Vincent van Gogh’s “The Starry Night.” Given that the image was created during an endoscopy examination, it might be called “A Study in Blue.”

“Art in Endoscopy” is an initiative of four gastroenterologists in training that aims to display examples of the incidentally beautiful images that are sometimes encountered in regular endoscopic practice.
