Warum dieser Fall?

In dem folgenden Bericht beschreiben wir den Fall einer akut aufgetretenen prolongierten Aphasie ohne Vigilanzstörung, die durch eine ketotische Hyperglykämie verursacht wurde und mit pathologischen EEG-Veränderungen einherging. Das Krankheitsbild ist eine seltene Differenzialdiagnose eines akuten Schlaganfalls, die bisher pathophysiologisch nicht ausreichend verstanden ist.
