Die Immuntherapie mit Checkpoint-Inhibitoren hat auch beim Lungenkarzinom dazu beigetragen, die Prognose vieler Patienten zu verbessern. Beim ASCO wurden vielversprechende Ergebnisse zur Erstlinientherapie bei Patienten sowohl mit nicht-kleinzelligem (NSCLC) als auch mit kleinzelligem Lungenkarzinom (SCLC) vorgestellt.
