Die Zöliakie ist eine Erkrankung im Wandel – das betrifft sowohl die Präsentation
der Erkrankung als auch ihre Therapie. Dieser Beitrag gibt daher ein Update zur Diagnose
und zum Stand der Entwicklung neuer Therapien.
Abstract
Coeliac disease is a disease in flux – both the presentation of the disease and its
therapy are changing. Furthermore, in addition to classical coeliac disease, which
is characterized by a duodenal villi atrophy, there are also other causes of intolerance
to wheat and other cereals. These have become the subject of not only scientific research
in recent years, but also intensive public debate. Thus, further diseases can be distinguished
from conventional coeliac disease defined by a T-cell-mediated immune response to
gliadin peptides. This article provides an update on the diagnosis and the state of
development of new therapies.
