Die Wiener Schule für Osteopathie (WSO) war die 1. osteopathische Ausbildungsstätte im deutschsprachigen Raum, an der man einen Master of Science in Osteopathie erwerben konnte. Das war Anlass genug, um das Wissenschaftsteam der WSO zu deren Erfahrungen in der Betreuung von Masterarbeiten in einem Interview zu befragen. Das Methodologie-Team der WSO besteht aus Raimund Engel, der auch Direktor der WSO ist, Astrid Grant Hay, Katharina Wimmer und Jan Porthun. Zunächst wurde Raimund Engel zum aktuellen Forschungsstand bezüglich der Osteopathie befragt.
