Die Leberlappentorsion, die oft mit unspezifischen Symptomen einhergeht, führt unbehandelt rasch zum Tod. Mögliche Ätiologien, Symptome, diagnostische Wege und Therapiemöglichkeiten sollen dargestellt werden und das Erkennen und Behandeln dieser unterschätzten Erkrankung erleichtern.
