Bis heute gibt es in der Literatur keinen Standard, wie man Patienten mit Schulterbeschwerden strukturiert befundet. Ein Team des Universitätsspitals Bern entwickelte deshalb den Berner Schulteralgorithmus (BeSos). Darin beschreiben sie beispielsweise, wann welcher Test zum Einsatz kommt und wie der Therapeut die Ergebnisse interpretieren sollte.
