Zusammenfassung

Hintergrund

Patella-Tendinopathien haben eine hohe Prävalenz unter Sportlern und gehen mit einer Beeinträchtigung körperlicher Aktivitäten einher. Sportler können trotz Sehnenbeschwerden während der Saison weiterspielen, wenn eine Anpassung der Belastung stattfindet. Dies kann z. B. mit einer Priorisierung der Teilnahme an Spielen und Wettkämpfen sowie durch eine Reduzierung des Trainingsumfangs erfolgen. Trotzdem haben die Beschwerden häufig eine Leistungsminderung zur Folge. Daher ist es wichtig, auch während der Saison zu einer Schmerzlinderung führende Methoden zu untersuchen, damit die Sportler ihrer Spiel- und Trainingsverpflichtung nachkommen können.
