ABSTRACT

In Germany mental disorders are number three as a reason for sick-leave and number one for early retirement. On the other hand work and occupation have a positive effect on the course of a mental illness. Acute crisis, which lead to in-patient treatment, may lead to longer disruption of employment. To prevent a loss of job these subjects need specific interventions, which can be subsumed under the label of „return-to-work“.
