  • Nosokomiale Infektionen verursachen dem deutschen Gesundheitssystem Mehrkosten von ca. 2 Milliarden Euro pro Jahr.

  • Die Krankenhäuser werden in zunehmenden Maß diese Kosten selbst tragen müssen.

  • Rund 600 Millionen Euro pro Jahr könnten bei einer Reduktion der nosokomialen Infektionen um 30% gespart werden.

  • Dafür wären Personalmehrkosten von ca. 250 Millionen Euro pro Jahr notwendig.
