Zusammenfassung

Anhand von 2 Patientenfällen wird die erfolgreiche chirurgische Unterstützung der kieferorthopädischen Engstandauflösung mittels Piezocisionen und simultaner Augmentationen demonstriert. Dabei sollen die interradikulären Osteotomien die Engstandauflösung erleichtern bzw. beschleunigen und die Augmentationen das Risiko von Rezessionen reduzieren. Trotz einer Ausgangssituation mit sehr schmalem Alveolarfortsatz und ausgeprägter kieferorthopädischer Protrusionsbewegung konnte in beiden Fällen nach Abschluss der Behandlung sowohl klinisch als auch radiologisch im Bereich der Unterkieferfront eine stabile parodontale Situation ohne Zeichen für Rezessionsbildung festgestellt werden.

Abstract

Based on 2 patient cases, successful surgical support of orthodontic crowding correction by means of piezocisions and simultaneous augmentations is demonstrated. In the process, interradicular osteotomies are used to facilitate and/or accelerate decrowding, while augmentations serve to reduce the risk of recession. After treatment completion, a stable periodontal situation with no signs of recession in the mandibular front was clinically and radiologically observable in both patients, despite a very narrow alveolar process and pronounced orthodontic protrusion movement prior to treatment.
