Xanthome der Achillessehne

Zusammenfassung

Bei einem 32jährigen Mann mit Betahyperlipoproteinämie Typ II nach Frederiksen wurden wegen Xanthomen der Achillessehnen eine totale und eine subtotale Resektion der betroffenen Sehnen durchgeführt. Die Nachuntersuchung nach 6 Jahren bestätigte die sehr gute Erfolgsaussicht der totalen Resektion und Rekonstruktion der Achillessehne, das einzige in der Literatur mitgeteilte Langzeitergebnis. Nach subtotaler Resektion muß mit Restbeschwerden gerechnet werden.

Abstract

In a 32-year-old man with Frederiksen's Type II betahyperlipoproteinemia, a total and a subtotal resection of the Achilles tendons were performed. The follow-up examination six years later confirmed the very good prospects of success of total resection and reconstruction of the Achilles tendon; this is the only long term result reported in the literature. Following subtotal resection residual complaints are likely to occur.
