Abstract

Volatile constituents of the leaves and root barks of Uvaria chamae were investigated in detail by GS and GS-MS. Sesquiterpenes and aromatic compounds were the predominant constituents of the leaf and root bark oils, respectively. The major constituent of the leaf oil was δ-cadinene while thymoquinoldimethyl ether and benzyl ben-zoate were the major components of the root oil.
