Yemuoside YM₇, YM₁₁, YM₁₃, and YM₁₄: Four Nortriterpenoid Saponins from Stauntonia chinensis

Abstract

Four new nortriterpenoid saponins, named yemuoside YM₇ (1), YM₁₁ (2), YM₁₃ (3), and YM₁₄ (4), were isolated from Stauntonia chinensis Decne. A new prosaponin, named yemuoside YM₁₆ (5), was isolated from the cleavage of the ester-glycoside linkage of 1. On the basis of chemical and physicochemical evidence, their structures were elucidated.
