Kernaussagen
Folgende Lifestyle-Änderungen sollten Brustkrebspatientinnen empfohlen werden:

Bei Patientinnen mit einem BMI > 25 kg / m² sollte eine moderate Gewichtsreduktion angestrebt werden. Hierfür ist die Datenlage im Moment am eindeutigsten.

Patientinnen sollten zu körperlicher Aktivität ermuntert werden.

Die Ernährung sollte alle wichtigen Bausteine in angemessenem Verhältnis enthalten. Eine darüber hinausgehende Empfehlung, eine fettarme, obst-, gemüse- und ballaststoffreiche Diät einzuhalten, ist von der bisherigen Studienlage nicht gedeckt.

Der erhöhte Nährstoff- und Vitaminbedarf des Körpers sollte berücksichtigt werden. Dabei sollte ein besonderes Augenmerk auf Vitamin D gerichtet sein; dieses sollte man bei entsprechendem Defizit unter Serumspiegelkontrolle substituieren.

Von übermäßigem Alkoholkonsum und Rauchen insgesamt sollte abgeraten werden.
