Significance

In a further contribution to the field of donor/acceptor metal carbenoids, the present paper discusses the enantioselective intermolecular reactions of rhodium carbenoids derived from α-aryl-α-diazoketones. Reaction with activated olefins generates cyclopropyl ketones with high diastereo- and enantioselectivity. In addition, the intermolecular carbenoid-induced C-H insertion of 1,4-cyclohexadiene is described.
