Zur spezifischen serologischen Lues-Diagnostik^*

Zusammenfassung

361 Blutseren, von denen der Ausfall der klassischen Seroreaktionen bekannt war, wurden mit dem FTA-Test und dem TPI-Test untersucht. Wie die Ergebnisse zeigen, stimmen die Resultate beider Testverfahren sehr gut miteinander überein. Lediglich bei primärer Lues ist öfter mit einem positiven FTA-Test und negativem TPI-Test zu rechnen, da der TPI-Test erst gegen Ende der Primärperiode immobilisierende Antikörper im Serum anzeigt. Davon abgesehen, war in 97,2% der untersuchten Fälle eine Übereinstimmung der mit den beiden Tests erzielten Resultate festzustellen. — Die Fälle, in denen die Resultate der beiden Testverfahren nicht übereinstimmen, werden im einzelnen diskutiert. Dabei stellt es sich heraus, daß es manchmal schwierig zu entscheiden ist, welcher der beiden Tests ein „falsches” Ergebnis angezeigt hat.

Summary

The fluorescence-treponema antibody test (FTA) and the treponema-pallidum immobilisation test (TPI) were performed on 361 sera previously examined by the serological tests for syphilis. The results of the FTA and TPI tests coincided well except that in primary syphilis the FTA test was more often positive: the TPI test indicated immobilizing antibodies only towards the end of the course of primary syphilis. Apart from this, the results of the two tests coincided in 97.2% of the investigated cases. Those instances in which agreement was not obtained are discussed in detail. It is pointed out that it was, in fact, difficult at times to decide which of the two tests had given the “false-negative” result.

Aportación al diagnóstico serológico de la lúes

361 sueros sanguíneos, entre los cuales era conocido el resultado patológico de las reacciones serológicas clásicas, fueron explorados con el test de FTA y TPI. Como indican los hallazgos, coinciden muy bien los resultados de ambos test. Unicamente en la lúes primaria se ha de contar, a menudo, con un FTA-Test positivo y un TPI negativo, ya que el test TPI muestra, aproximadamente al final del período primario, anticuerpos inmovilizadores en el suero. Aparte de esto, se confirmó en un 97,2 % de los casos investigados una correlación entre los resultados alcanzados con ambos test. Los casos, en los cuales no coincidían los resultados de ambos test, se discuten aisladamente. De aquí resulta, que a veces es difícil decidir, cúal de ambos test ha mostrado un resultado “falso”.
