Significance

Cassiarins A and B are isolated form Cassia siamea which has been used as traditional medicine for the treatment of malaria. Both cassiarins A and B show potent antiplasmodial activity against Plasmodium falciparum with an IC50 of 0.005 and 6.9 mg/mL, respectively.
